Writing Comp

 Hello!

Me and a few of my friends have started a Competition called the writing Competition. Its a competition about the Best Coast, A Coast of your choice and genre of your choice. It makes me very happy to see that we already have so many stories to judge from already. I think that its so cool that we were able to do this and that our principle             Mrs O has allowed us to and has supported   us and helped us make it happen. I think that creating a competition for your school is really fun and great for kids to have a go at something new, I encourage`    1 everyone out there to at least try something that inspires you.

Miss Power introduced us to a type of art called Aboriginal Art. Its a art used by cotton buds, toothpicks or anything else like that to make dots to form a animal. I decided to form a Blob fish one of my fav animals.I hope you like my art.

Here is my second limerick

There once was a dog named Charlie

He did something pretty gnarly

He went to the beach

 Miss Power asked us to write a limerick, A limerick is a poem for example the first 2 lines have to rhyme then the second 2 lines have to rhyme and the 5th line has to rhyme with the first 2 lines. It sounds complicated the way i have explained it but here is my limerick.

There once was a guy named Lance

He started to do a little dance

He sat at a table

With a girl named Mable

She said that she came from France

Book Week

 This week was Book Week and for Book Character day I went as a road cone from The Little Yellow Digger Saves Christmas. Here are some pictures of me and my friend Molly and our door decoration of Alice in Wonderland.

This week I had to send a fake letter to someone who is in the war or someone at home. I chose so send a letter to my brother the date is in WW1 1915 12 of August all the characters in here are fictional.

Static Electricity

For science rotation we had to make a Static Electricity. Static Electricity is when you rub anything against something and something will happen. For this one we had to have a balloon,String and someones hair. we had to do two experiments with the balloon. One was a success the other was a fail.

   Miss Hines wanted us to make a explanation about a type of cycle or something like that so I did one on what is a eclipse.

The solar system is a very interesting place and sometimes objects from the solar System Will come down to earth,but that's for another time this time it's about an eclipse. 

An Eclipse is when an object’s shadow goes onto a plane such as the sun then creates a Eclipse there are 2 main eclipses 1 is the solar eclipse the other is a lunar eclipse.

A solar eclipse is when the moon's shadow goes in front of the earth then creates the solar eclipse. A lunar eclipse is when The moon goes in the middle of the sun and moon you can see earth in the moon's shadow.

You may have seen an eclipse, maybe you haven't but this year you may be lucky because an eclipse will happen on November 30-December 1, 2020 and some others all year round.

• How does the writer show us that Isaac is concerned for Tomasi? Isaac is a bit upset with Tomasi and you can see by how he reacts

• Why do you think Tomasi feels like he has to fight? Tomasi Thinks that if he fights hell impress his new friends

• How does the story tell us how long Isaac and Tomasi have been friends? By the relationship and how close they are to each other.

Plan and write a paragraph that illustrates what you would do if you were Isaac. What could happen next? Your paragraph must include the characters that have already been introduced and be at least 8 sentences long! 

If I was Isaac I would not stand up for Tomasi because he has done something wrong. Not only that but Tomasi is trying to lie so he doesn't have to get into trouble. Plus who's to say he won't do it again and again. Plus Fai is right he is a school captain he shouldn't be doing that. Plus why would Tomasi want to fight anyway he doesn't have to fight to look cool he's school captain for crying out loud. Anyway What am I supposed to do?. Tell Miss Latu Hello yes my best friend who is also a school captain is beating up kids our age and he doesn't want anyone to know about it. Or do I do as Tomasi says and say no he's not beating up anyone  that's someone else what will happen what should I do.

This week is Matariki New Year!!! Whaea Katie has made a Matariki sight for all of Totara. This is 1 of the tasks. I had fun making it because it was a challenge for me to write something new!
